The band was in recess from autumn 2004 until september 2010 when we reunited to celebrate our university NTNU’s 100th anniversary, together with the Trondheim Soloists. Then a few very outspread gigs followed, topped with an appearance at the Oslo Opera House in August 2011 with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra. Norway’s prime jazz journalist Terje Mosnes of Dagbladet hailed Come Shine to be a «national treasure» and demanded that they make a new beginning for the quartet.

In March 2014 Come Shine’s fourth album «Red and Gold» was released in Norway, with a concert at the Norwegian Opera in Oslo. Red an Gold has received raving reviews in the Norwegian press.
