«Take a Jazz Band with a Country Beat…»
Benny Lee is mixing his passion for Classic Country Music and Early Jazz in a single repertoir, taking his inspiration from some of the pioneers of northern american music from Nashville to New Orleans.
The orchestration brings back the sound of Country Bands from mid 1940s using both strings and wind instruments, acoustic or electric and vocal harmonies. It gives the band a large field to explore differents registers of the Great American Songbook.

Om Bb Scene: På Bb Scene ønsker vi å tilgjengeliggjøre live Jazzmusikk som folk flest gledes av. Vi plukker musikere fra den norske Jazz diasporan og lar de fremføre det de brenner for. I et lokale der musikk, dans og drikk møtes og skaper et, for oslo, unikt atmosfære.
På Bb Scene skaper vi et rom der Django Reinhardt, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller og Louie Armstrong hade gledet seg til å opptre, en av de beste plassene til å oppleve jazz i Oslo!
