Audun Automat

Audun Automat er eit prosjekt som tek utgangspunkt i den europeiske avantgardejazzen frå 60- og 70-talet. Vi prøvar å kople denne inspirasjonen opp mot nye uttrykk frå notida sin jazz og populærmusikk. Fokuset er på balansegangen mellom det komponerte og det improviserte, det stygge og det vakre, det kollektive og det solistiske, kaos og orden.

Audun Automat plays electric, acoustic, dirty, noisy, melodious and beautiful jazz with a tinge of rock. It walks the line between the composed and the improvised, the ugly and the pretty, the ensemble and the soloist, and chaos and order. The music is both accessible and challenging at the same time. The debut album “Night Creatures” was released in Norway on Pling Music (.com) in 2008.
