Trommeslager Gulli Briem (Mezzoforte) kommer tilbake til Herr Nilsen 26. Oktober med sin «supergruppe»: All Star Funk – Norway. Det blir låter fra hans favoritt repertoar, inklusiv orginale komposisjoner, samt noen jazzrock klassikere, og selvsagt hans favoritter fra Mezzoforte-katalogen.
Gulli has been a backbone for Mezzoforte since the beginning. He’s been nominated five times as the drummer of the year in Iceland and is one of the most recorded drummers in Iceland. He’s worked with different international artists like Steve Hackett (Genesis) Madonna (in Evita), Robben Ford, Trine Rein & Jan Holberg to name a few. With his new “All Star” band, people can expect a colourful musical night with some compositions from legendary jazz rock artists as well as Gulli’s original compositions from his solo career, Earth Affair and Liberté, as well as some of his personal Mezzoforte favourites in slightly different arrangements. In Gulli’s own words, “I’m looking forward visiting Norway again with an exiting lineup of very versatile and legendary Norwegian musicians” .
