Om utgivelsen
Agbeko is a Manchester-formed 11-piece led by Oslo-based guitarist James Girling. Co-written by Girling and co-leader Jamie Stockbridge, Agbeko’s new album «When the People Say» is released 23 October 2026 following the band’s summer launch tour of lead single ‘Know How’, co-headlining several dates along with Norwegian soul-band Sūn Byrd.
Agbeko’s latest album elevates this ‘large, spectacular, electric, emotive’ band (Songlines) to new heights of rapturous song and powerful hooks. Fronted jointly by Hayes and Kuti, «When the People Say» is defined by duality: inner monologues coexist with sweeping calls to action across an album that urges us to revel and reflect simultaneously. Agbeko render their collective vision in sound to propulsive and utterly irresistible effect on this record.
