Lyder Røed Quintet is back with a new album called Telling It Like It Is.
It is the next album in line after Upside Down which was released the 30th of August 2024. The album consists of 9 tunes with a wide palette of different expressions rooted in the jazz tradition. The new album has the hard swinging post bob blue note sound together with some deep blues and latin parts. This album is straight to the core of what this band is about. Making music they love from their favorite jazz period with a fresh modernistic take.
