Bento Box Trio
Somehow I Lost My Way

Om utgivelsen

Bento Box Trio is an acoustic trio consisting of three young jazz musicians from Norway and Iceland. The trio presents the colorful, the melancholic and the intense through original compositions with improvisation as the main focus. The musicians met at the Jazz Conservatory in Trondheim in 2019, and they have cooperated closely together since then, working with the acoustic soundscape, the unique instrumentation and with free improvisation in melodic tunes. In February of 2022 the trio recorded their debut album “Boxed”, which will be released on Fjordgata Records in September same year.

With original compositions, the trio is constantly exploring new and fresh approaches to playing. Their music draws impulses from classical and contemporary music as well as free jazz, and is further influenced by artists such as Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Adam Baldych and Aaron Parks.

Their sophomore album «Somehow I Lost My Way» features Mats Eilertsen on double bass and Sissel Vera on vocals and saxophone.
