Babies on Airplanes is a Norwegian/Swedish piano trio that originated in Trondheim’s jazz milieu, featuring Anna Ueland (NO), Johannes Elnan (NO) and Gustav Tornberg (SE).
Their music is full of twists and turns, moving between free improvisation, synth-pop and jazz. Like a turbulent flight, it shifts direction without warning, drifting into the softest of clouds or descending to the ocean’s depths. There, in the quiet pressure below, a small fish glides between soft rocks, cubic stones, into a city of diamonds.
Music for a Noisy Environment was recorded over two cold winter days December 2024 in Håkon Brunborg’s studio in Oslo. The album consists of six compositions and six improvisations, capturing the trio’s energy and spirit.
This is music for moments when thoughts are allowed to drift. When the mind wanders freely. Music for noisy environments.
