Green Vengeance
Haunting Weather

Om utgivelsen

Norwegian Green Vengeance makes experimental psychedelic jazzrock. The bandproject are based on a lengthy interest in freejazz, improvisations, ambient soundscapes, world music and music beyond ordinary melody structures. The band are now releasing new music on Tutl.

This single-release from the forthcoming album – Jazz for a collapsing civilization, do also raise concern for the lack of action towards loss of biodiversity and consequences from human-caused climate change. The facts are undisputed:

From the Sixth and last Assessment Report of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change:

“Climate change is a threat to human well-being and planetary health (very high confidence). There is a rapidly closing window of opportunity to secure a liveable and sustainable future for all.

Climate resilient development will be more difficult if the global temperature will rise by 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels, while if it will rise by more than 2 degrees it will become impossible “in some regions and sub-regions.”

“Although the report’s outlook is bleak, its conclusion argues that there is still time to limit warming to 1.5 °C (2.7 °F) by drastic cuts to greenhouse gas emission, but such action must be taken immediately.”

We call people everywhere to wake up and react. Live greener, vote for green politicians and support enviromental organisations!
