«Israel-born, Oslo-based saxophonist Guy Sion’s has been a part of the Oslo Jazz scene for the past six years. After finishing his studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory he moved to New York City where he released in 2010 his first album ‘Half the Battle’. In 2012 while living in Norway, Guy released his second album ‘Away’ with some of Norway’s best jazz musicians. For the past several years, Guy has been playing regularly around town with Big Band and small ensembles, taking part in various musical projects from Gypsy Jazz (Oslo Stringswing Kollektiv), Traditional Jewish music (The Diasphora House), Cool Jazz (The Crosscurrent), World Music (Ellayali), Soul Jazz (The Cannonball 5) and many others.»
